A quick note to thank you for your expertise and company on Monday. There are often things that one wants to try thinking them to be suitable and exciting only to be let down with the reality of the exercise; this one worked in the opposite fashion and was far more than I could of wanted or expected and we actually caught some fish!

I just wanted to say that catching salmon has been one of my main ambitions as a fisherman. I wasn't expecting it to happen quickly. So I am really grateful for the chance of your guidance which really helped with how to approach salmon fishing with confidence and a systematic approach. Knowing how to fish the pools, and the flies to use has clearly really helped as I've managed two fish in only five or six trips which I think is a really good start! I'm only sorry you couldn't see the smile on my face with a salmon in the net!

I also wanted to make the best of what Devon has which is unique and different to other places I've fished (mainly Kent and Herts) so success with salmon and sea trout this year has been a real bonus.
