Fly Fishing Guiding with Colin Pape

	An experienced instructor in a number of spheres I believe I can provide a friendly, relaxed and highly personalised fly fishing guiding service on some of Devon’s most beautiful rivers and stillwaters. These include the River Teign (brown trout & sea trout), the Rivers Yeo, Creedy and Culm (brown trout) and the River Taw (sea trout and salmon).

I know these waters intimately and I concentrate on providing an individual fly fishing guiding service tailored specifically to your needs.   My forte is a ‘one to one’ personal service designed to provide exactly what you require, be it for brown trout, rainbow trout, salmon or night time sea trout fishing, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The emphasis is on discovery, learning and enjoyment. I will take two people as well provided they book together as one package.

Guiding sessions will be a minimum of a half day, through to one, two or three day packages. A typical day's guiding is 6 hours and a full day is recommended. You state what you wish to achieve and I will try to meet your needs. The emphasis will be on reading the river, adopting the most suitable river fishing tactics, determining the places where fish lie and feed, selecting a suitable fly and technique for the moment, the approach, the appropriate cast for the prevailing conditions, hooking the fish, playing it and the most humane method of releasing the fish, or taking it, whichever is suitable.

If I cannot provide exactly what you want I will advise you on the best way to achieve it.

I can provide all equipment you will need, including waders if necessary, but you may use your own equipment if it is suitable for the type of fishing being undertaken.
